  • Go down on the page

Keywords are 3 types

  1. Long-tail keyword
  2. Short tail keyword
  3. Latent Symantec Indexing keywords (LSI)

Long-tail keywords: Having more than 3 words is the Longtails keyword. It is a keyword which we use when we need something on a particular product or service for example “Search Engine Optimization Course “

Short tail Keyword: Having one or two words is the keyword. it is also called a generic keyword. For example “Seo”

LSI Keyword: We use this type of keyword often in our day to day life. It is nothing but adding words before and after the keyword as we need. For example “Best Search Engine Optimization Course Hyderabad”

To do keyword research we have some tools called

  2. Uber suggest
  3. Google auto-suggest

In Search Engine Optimization, There are some processes which we have to do

Let’s talk about each of them now

Sitemap :

Sitemap for Search Engine Optimization

The sitemap is nothing but giving a navigation map to the bots as well as the user. Navigation which means which page should read first and second and etc…

There are two types of Sitemaps we should give to the website for better Search Engine Optimization. They are

  1. XML Sitemap
  2. HTML Sitemap

XML Sitemap For Search Engine Optimization :

  • XML Sitemap is for the bot to understand the navigation of pages. We will Generate it for Search Engines ( Bots).

HTML Sitemap For Search Engine Optimization :

  • HTML Site map We will Generate this for Users.

Now let’s know about how to check Sitemap and how to generate.

  • To check whether the website having sitemap or not
  • Type domain/sitemap.xml and domain/sitemap.html in the search bar and press enter.
  • Google says that if you have 1000 pages give the XML sheet to craw. By giving this I will give you the ranking in Search Engine Optimization
  • You must create a Sitemap and upload it on the website.
  • To generate Sitemap we have a tool called “XML Sitemap generator”

Steps To Follow :

  • Goto “XML Sitemap Generator“  
  • Copy the URL of your website
  • Paste and enter
  • The file will be generate
  • To upload the file
  • Go to
  • Log in with your credentials
  • Click to manage of website.
  •  Click on manage hosting
  • Go to Cpanel admin
  • Go to files manager after login to Cpanel
  • Open the required folder
  • Click on upload
  • Choose file
  • Upload file

To link the file to the website

  • Login to your website
  • Go to dashboard
  • Select appearance
  • Go to menu
  • Select Menu from the dropdown
  • Go to a custom link
  • Link text should be sitemap
  • Give url/sitemap.html
  • Click add to the menu
  • Click on save it.

To updated page manually in XML or HTML

  • Go to server
  • Click edit
  • You add or remove
  • can generate only 500 pages

What to do to add more pages?

You can go-to pro in or develop code or by using a plugin called sitemap you can generate a sitemap to your website.

Once you uploaded on the website you should upload in webmaster/search console too.

Webmaster tool :

To create webmaster

  • Go to google webmaster tool
  • Login and paste the URL
  • Click on add property
  • Verify by HTML
  • Copy HTML tag
  • Now Go to the dashboard in WordPress
  • Select appearance
  • Go to editor
  • Upload in Header.php
  • Paste below to the head section
  • Upload file
  • Now click verify in webmaster
  • Or if you already registered with Google analytics you can verify by using that.
  • Click on done
  • Click on sitemap
  • Paste sitemap URL in the add box
  • Click on submit

Now we will have one question that why we are submitting in the webmaster too?

  • It says how many pages indexed or how many pages not indexed. To know this we are submitting in the webmaster tool. Using sitemap and webmaster tool is one of the best practice of Search Engine Optimization

Now let’s talk about Robot.Txt

Robot.txt For Search Engine Optimization :

Robot.txt is to instruct the spider which page should allow or which pages should not allow. When we have dummy content or thank you page we will say it.

How to do that?

Take a note pad and type

User-agent : *

  Allow : /

User-agent : *

  Dis allow : /

User-agent : google bot

 Dis allow  : /page.html

User-agent : google bot

  Allow  : /folder name

  • “*” is equal to  all search engine
  • / is equal to the entire website
  • Disallow required when the website is under construction
  • Commands only for search engines
  • User can see any time of dummy content
  • When we have dummy content we stop bot using the command
  • You must welcome after getting ranking
  • To do this command
  • As I said in the above text take note pad  type command
  • Save as robot.txt name
  • Now Go to GoDaddy,
  • Go to c panel
  • Go to file manager
  • Choose the folder and open
  • Upload notepad document
  • To check type website/robot.txt

What is Search Engine Optimization?

Search Engine Optimization :

It is nothing but optimizing our website on the first page at first position in search engines. Optimization means changing the factors of the Search engine by following its rules and Applying techniques.

What are the types of Search Engines?

There are many search engines available in our world but most of the people in India or other countries use

  1. Google
  2. Bing
  3. Yahoo

These search engines are having some rules and regulations to follow while we post on our website.

There are two  Modules in  Search engine optimization Process

  1. On-Page Optimization
  2. Off-Page Optimization

Let’s talk about On-Page optimization and its factors today.

What is On-Page Optimization?

On-Page optimization is nothing but using SEO factors in the inside of our website

SEO On-Page :

  • To implement On-Page optimization it should only for landing pages and remaining pages
  • It means you have to work with landing pages
  • In terms of Search Engine Optimization, the landing page URL should have some structure and rules to follow, Let’s know about them.

URL Structure For Search Engine Optimization Process :

  • When you create a landing page, Insert relevant or most popular or important keyword in the URL
  • To separate the words in the URL of your website Use “-“ and do not use “_”
  • When you create URL do not use so many categories
  • Example : of the web marketing
  • As per Search engine optimization use category 1 or 2 times
  • Url should not contain any special characters and numbers
  • Example: Url/$/2
  • Google saying your URL should be short Ex: 150Char
URL Structure

In your interview HR may ask you this question.

After URL now Meta tag optimization comes in picture.

Meta tags optimization :

There are 4 types of meta tags are there in Meta tag optimization

  1. Meta Title
  2. Meta Description
  3. Meta Keyword
  4. Meta Robot

Let’s talk about four of them now.

Meta Title :

  • The meta title is the title of your website landing page which will appear when some search in search engine
  • In meta title make sure you insert a keyword
  • Insert a relavent keyword
  • Don’t do keyword stuffing, it means do not insert the same keywords in the same paragraph multiple times.
  • Start your title with a keyword
  • The title should be 60-70 characters
  • Use brand name if you don’t have a chance to fill 60-70 characters, use the brand name in the end.
Meta Title

Meta Description :

  • Meta tag Description is nothing but a short description of your website/landing page.
  • Meta tag description should be 300 characters only
  • Insert keywords use other keywords, do not use title keyword
  • The description will increase clicks and CTR.
  • CTR means Click-through rate
  • The formulae to calculate Ctr is
  •  No.of Clicks/No of impressions*100
  • If ctr low people viewed but not clicked
  • If CTR is high people viewed and clicked
  • As we said in Meta title, Keyword stuffing not allowed in here also
Meta Description

Keywords :

  • Meta keywords mean inserting more keywords in Search engine optimization (SEO).
  • To implement this Meta tags you should install a plugin called “Yoast SEO” in WordPress.
  • Once you install, it will attach to all landing pages
  • In that Yoast SEO edit snippet section to give meta tags on each and every landing page.

Now in search engine optimization after Meta tags, Content optimization will come into the picture. We already discussed content optimization in our previous Article, Please check there.

Let’s talk about internal linking

Internal  Linking :

By giving Internal linking your page will come in 1st position

  • But it should be relevant linking belongs to the page/content.

Now Image optimization will come into the picture

Image optimization:

Image optimization is nothing but giving alter the text to the image

  • Write the keyword while saving the file
  • Whenever you upload a file, the file name should be keyword
  • We call it as Image optimization( Alt+Text, filename)

Robots :

  • Meta robots are nothing but giving information/instructions to the bots (Spiders).
  • What are Bots, Bots are also called Spiders, it works in google search engine whenever you type something in the search bar, this bot will scan all websites which are having the information of your search word and It will bring those websites in search engine results page
  • In meta robots, there are 2 types of instruction we can give
  • Index
  •  Follow
  • No-Index
  • No follow
  • Giving index instruction is says that please show our website also in SERP when someone searches for the content we have.
  • If we give no index then we do not want to show that page in SERP
  •   Giving Follow instruction is says that read all of my pages and save
  • Giving no follow says that you do not read that page.

Content is king of Marketing, without Content there is no marketing. For Digital Marketing Content is most important.

For Content Marketing, Content should be relevant and to attract and define and ultimately to drive profitable customer action. Content should have a minimum of 300 words Per post; more than 300 words are preferable for SEO. Content with keywords helps to boost your website.

Now let’s know about Content Optimization

Content Optimization

Content optimization is the main phrase in SEO. When you upload content or when you write content there should be 300 words including headings and paragraphs etc..

At least 2000 words, By having more text google bot will read easily and bring the website in position. If you copy content from other websites google panda algorithm ban the website.

Ban= Penalize =Sandbox

To check weather content copied or not there are tools called

  1. Copyscape tool
  2. Duplichecker

Copying content is also called plagiarism

In Content marketing, while writing you should add keywords to the content so that whenever someone searches for that keyword your website will appear on the first page and first place.

Its called key word density. Lets know about

Keyword density is nothing but adding keywords in the content as per google rules the keyword density should be 2.5%.

Headings :

  • Google can read headings
  • While giving the content you can add headings
  • For one document/page you have to use only one H1 for entire article/page/content in terms of google
  • H2 can be only 2 times
  • Remaining H3,4,5,6 is up to you
  • Try to insert keyword H1 and H2

Importance of content Marketing 

By using more content with the keyword you can get more views and leads to your website.
